This means I use a variety of therapeutic approaches to help my clients. There is no single way or approach that is best for everyone. Central to all my work with clients is the therapeutic relationship which we will develop together. Building a comfortable, safe and trusting relationship where you will feel genuinely listened to and cared for, is of great importance and provides the supportive place for your personal exploration, healing and growth.

I work with children and young people too. For further information and to book:

Ultimately, counselling is an act of hope.
It's the hope that something might get better, and for that to happen, it requires something to change.

Trauma therapy

Trauma is the wound left when a person has experienced a particular traumatic experience or period of time in their life. The lasting effects of unresolved or unprocessed trauma can negatively impact life in the present; flashbacks, pain or discomfort in the body, difficulty sleeping, relationship issues, a general sense that events in the past still have a hold on you and negatively impact your wellbeing. Trauma therapists use a scientifically proven and well researched mind-body, relational approach with clients seeking help to heal trauma. Your therapist will explain more within the counselling session and together you can decide which approach you’d like to explore.

Why Counselling?

Life can be tough at times and it’s not

always easy to talk openly with those closest to us. Counselling is different. Counsellors offer a safe, confidential and non-judgmental space to explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences. Counsellors will not give you advice, they listen without judging and support you to find your own way forward. The counselling process often results in greater self-awareness which enhances and enriches your life.
